On December 19th, 2017 the Nevada Legislative Commission approved regulations in accordance with NRS 449, regarding CHW pools, under LCB R133-15. This regulation established the eligibility and standards organizations must meet in order to apply and maintain licensure as a CHW pool.
The Nevada Division of Health Care Quality and Compliance (HCQC) will oversee the application process once the applications have been posted. HCQC released a technical bulletin to assist organizations with some common questions they may have about this new regulation.
The Nevada Community Health Worker Association has created a presentation on the regulation to further address any questions stakeholders may have.
